Breaking: Donald duke lose his house at ikoyi to AMCON over debit of #537m

The Government High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, has requested the Benefit The executives Enterprise of Nigeria and Joined Bank for Africa to assume control over a property having a place with a previous legislative leader of Cross Stream State, Donald Duke.

Equity Chuka Obiozor made the request following an ex parte application recorded by AMCON and UBA.

The property was to be relinquished over a supposed obligation of N537,334,360.77.

Recorded as first to third litigants were Stonehedge Venture Constrained, Donald Duke and Owunari Weave Manuel Duke, separately.

The candidates had asked the court for “a request for interval connection, ownership and authority of the property being No. 3, Sanctuary Street, Ikoyi, Lagos”.

They told the court that the property was sold by Duke “as insurance in tying down the first respondent’s obligation to the candidates”.

They asked the court to give them ownership of the property “pending the establishment and transfer of procedures for recuperation of obligation against the respondent, as per Area 49 of the Benefit The board Partnership of Nigeria Act 2010 (as corrected)”.

They additionally asked the court for a between time Mareva directive to claim assets in the records of Duke and others in any bank “pending the institutional and transfer of procedures for the recuperation of an obligation of N537,334,360.77 made up of the central obligation and enthusiasm against the respondents as per Segment 50 of AMCON Act 2010”.

The judge conceded the supplications notwithstanding a request controlling the respondents from “executing, moving, changing or howsoever managing in any way or meddling with the candidates’ ownership” of the Ikoyi property.

The judge requested AMCON and UBA to guarantee administration of substantive starting procedures on the respondents inside 20 days of the creation of the request.

He suspended the case until September 2, 2019
